I wonder just how many Americans have had the time to watch the recent Republican Party debates? I know that some people feel that it’s all a waste of time and maybe it doesn’t matter who we vote for. Nothing, of course could be further from the truth.
I have found the recent debates to be quite interesting and if you haven’t had the time (or the inclination) to watch there is a pretty exciting competition going on between the 2 top contenders for the GOP nomination, namely Dr. Ben Carson and Donald Trump. Whether you are a democrat, republican or independent you should try to find the time to listen to what these men have to say. If the election turns out to be a victory for the Republican Party, chances are good that one of these 2 men will be our next president.
The Democratic debates won’t start until October 13th so, until that time the race between these 2 candidates is all that we have to go on. The problem that most of us have is time. It’s so difficult to find the time to follow politics with our hectic schedules and it’s not uncommon for many of us to lose interest quickly. After all, many of us feel frustrated with politics in general and that regardless of whom we vote for the result will be the same.
I hope that this will not be the case in the upcoming election but more importantly, I hope to see a huge turnout at the polls this next election. We must not forget how important the right to vote for our leaders is and that in many countries this is not a possibility. Busy or not, we should all find the time to watch the debates and make an informed decision when the time comes.
