"To remember our past defines who we truly are...."

I'm not sure why I became so incredibly introspective that day. There I was in Richmond making preparations for the new office when I noticed, really noticed just how majestic and beautiful some of the old buildings are in that fine city. It made me think of what it must have been like to live and work there 50 years ago, 100 years ago.

I tried to envision the daily routine of a realtor back then. Did they have realtors back then? Still, no computers, no emails, no cell phones, just an office and the occasional real estate ad in the local paper I imagined. Never the less there were still some very impressive structures in those days; beautiful homes & cute little shops on the street just the same as we have now. In fact, some of those very same buildings are still in use today.

With these thoughts in mind and in honor of a truly magnificent city I thought I would share some very old photos of the Richmond area that I was able to find on the internet. I wonder what it will look like 100 years from now?
